GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF WAYNE AND HOLMES COUNTIES WELCOMES DAWN CAZZOLLI AS NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO

Goodwill Industries of Wayne and Holmes Counties is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dawn Cazzolli as the organization’s new President and CEO. With an extensive background in community service and a strong commitment to fostering positive change, Dawn brings a wealth of experience and passion to her new role.

Dawn’s journey to leadership has been driven by a deep-seated desire to serve others and create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. With over 25 years of professional experience, she has dedicated herself to improving the well-being of underserved communities through various initiatives and projects. Dawn’s leadership style is characterized by empathy, compassion, and a relentless drive to make a difference, aligning perfectly with the values and mission of Goodwill Industries.

Expressing her excitement about the opportunity, Dawn said, “I am thrilled about the opportunity to embark on a new position that not only challenges me but also offers a greater reach. The thought of stepping out of my comfort zone and taking on new responsibilities excites me. I envision making a meaningful impact by leveraging my skills and expertise to connect with a larger audience and create positive change.”

The selection of Dawn Cazzolli comes after an extensive search process to find a successor to Judy Talcott, who has been instrumental in the success of Goodwill Industries of Wayne and Holmes Counties for over 20 years. Lacey Widder, incoming Chair for Goodwill’s Board of Trustees, expressed gratitude for Judy's dedication and leadership, wishing her all the best in retirement.

Reflecting on the decision to appoint Dawn, Christy VanSickle, retiring Chair for Goodwill’s Board of Trustees, stated, “Dawn’s 25 years of professional experience, her work in the community, and her unique skill set make her the perfect fit to enhance the mission of Goodwill. We are excited to welcome her to the team and look forward to the positive impact she will undoubtedly bring.”

The announcement of Dawn Cazzolli’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Goodwill Industries of Wayne and Holmes Counties. With her vision, dedication, and passion for community service, Dawn is poised to lead the organization towards even greater heights, driving positive change and making a difference in the lives of those they serve.

About Goodwill Industries of Wayne and Holmes Counties:

Established in 1980, Goodwill Industries of Wayne and Holmes Counties is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and a tremendous community resource, utilizing a 3-in-1 business model to best support local communities.

(1) The Retail and Donated Goods division is the most recognizable of the three business units of GIWHC. Donations are accepted from the community at Goodwill’s five retail locations in the area (Wooster, Orrville, Rittman, Millersburg, and Loudonville) or at the newly opened attended donation center on Route 30 in Dalton. Donations are then sold in-store or online at shopgoodwill.com, and the revenue created goes back into the community by supporting Goodwill’s mission.

(2) The best kept secret in Wayne and Holmes Counties, the Industrial Services division of GIWHC. is a fantastic community resource for local companies to not only maximize their bottom lines through Goodwill’s services, but all the while supporting Goodwill's mission by providing training and job opportunities. Services include assembly and disassembly, packaging, inspection, sorting, kitting, and more.

(3) Goodwill's Mission Services department provides work and job skills training as well as job placement and retention services to individuals residing in Wayne and Holmes Counties. In addition, the GIWHC Mission department helps connect individuals to community services and support for transportation, mental health, housing, and more. Goodwill’s Mission is to help people overcome challenges, build skills, find jobs, and grow careers.
